Micheal's Say What?!

Hello reader's, today's blog details our most recent adventure to the apparently newly discovered region of Columbia MD on 5/31/13. Our plan: go to Michael's to get some much needed crafting supplies. Our result: a grandiose adventure of epic discovery and amusement *dynamic pose*. So Friday after work octopus-girl and I set off and immediately took the wrong interstate exit *sigh*. Refusing to accept (admit) defeat we got out our (not so) trusty GPS's. Octopus-girl quickly (in about 15 minutes...or so...) found "the" Michael's, it was only 4.4 miles away (I.e. 15 minutes away). As we prepared to set off (again) an elderly woman took notice of us and literally started us down while walking across the street (not watching where she was walking I mind you). At first I thought she was a nice old lady wondering if we had lost our way, but instead she was more interested in whether or not I was going to run her down with my SUV or get out and rob her... I considered both but being from our of the area....... I decided against it (...). 20 minutes later...we arrived at "the" Michael's and to our surprise it was NOT the one we were looking for O_O. So as it turns out there were two Michael's within 15 miles, a pleasant surprise indeed ^_^. We completed our errands (with minimal distractions and overspending *yay*) and also decided to combine our awesomely amazing talents and start a custom accessory shop on Etsy, hopefully within the next six months. Everything was great, but little did we know how epic this trip would soon become... We left (new) Michael's and instantly found ourselves logistically disenfranchised(lost). It was the height of rush hour and we could not go back the way we came...... so we made the...executive decision to look for a highway (best decision ever). We headed... in some direction...and Octopus-girl saw (apparently) the most inexplicable place... an Utla. Just a personal note here, I know next to nothing about cosmetics... I leave all that to Octopus-girl, but our new mission became to get to that store (-_-). After a well a placed u-turn we arrived at this most coveted shopping center. I've been to Sephora, I've been to Mac...but Ulta was an enlightening experience...O_O. We were awe struck (for different reasons...albeit...). It was almost the size of a department store and it featured an in- store hair salon, that's right buy ALL your beauty supplies and get your hair done ^_^. After walking to exhaustion (and overspending... *sigh*) we decided to continue our exploring of this new region... in the shopping center alone there were 3 completely unknown restaurants and literally across the street was a restaurant park where there was a McDonald's next to a Bob Evan's next to an Olive Garden next to Applebee's next to a TGI Friday's. There was also mini-golf (o_O). Overwhelmed with the elation of such wondrous (potentially ((undoubtedly)) bankrupting) discoveries we headed home via that route we passed (ignored) to get to Ulta in the first place. And so ended the great last day of May adventure. THE END. This is just a mere sample of our adventures. Just wait till we get the car camera!

A Post to Start the Madness @.@

Octopus Ring girl here ( a.k.a Anita) ^_^ Well I figured I'd post something here to get things started. Fair warning to all that choose to read. There is going to be no real logic to the topics glazed over in this blog nor will there be any rhyme or reason for the adventures we choose to share. However I believe that is the natural course of things in this play we call life! It's currently 5:13 am in the morning and instead of being sleep I sit here awake drinking large quantities of soda (since it's caffinated effects no longer/if ever effect me )while listening to Game of Thrones Book 4 for the billionth time on audiobook. >.> Ugh, I need something to knock me out to sleep besides exhaustion.
